Short answer

Ninja Terminal is a browser-based trading terminal that connects to Binance Spot and USD-M futures through your own API key. Orders execute on your Binance account, so funds never leave Binance. You can place Market, Limit, Stop, and Stop Limit orders, set leverage and margin type, use TP/SL, and trade Binance next to OKX, Bybit, and Hyperliquid in one workspace.

Many traders keep Binance open beside other exchanges. Ninja Terminal gives that account a place in a shared workspace: your Binance positions, orders, and balances appear in the same lists as your other venues, and you can send orders to Binance from Quick Entry, the order form, or the chart.

What can you trade on Binance through Ninja Terminal?

Market What it is Notes
Spot Coin-for-coin trading against your Spot wallet Market and Limit orders
USD-M futures USDT-margined perpetual futures Leverage, cross or isolated margin, TP/SL, reduce-only

Binance COIN-M futures are not supported yet. See USD-M futures for how the margin works.

Which order types and features work on Binance?

Feature Spot USD-M futures
Market and Limit Yes Yes
Stop and Stop Limit No Yes (Open mode)
Take profit and stop loss (TP/SL) on positions n/a Yes
Reduce-only n/a Yes
Leverage setting n/a Per symbol
Margin type (cross or isolated) n/a Per symbol
Hedge mode n/a Supported

On USD-M futures, Ninja Terminal sends stops and TP/SL orders through Binance’s conditional (algo) order endpoint. Market orders larger than a symbol’s maximum market quantity are split into several orders up front, so Binance does not reject them. For details on how the exit orders differ between venues, read take-profit and stop-loss by exchange and market order size limits.

How does connecting a Binance account work?

Binance uses an API key and secret. No passphrase is needed.

  1. In Binance, create a system-generated API key and name it.
  2. Open the restrictions and select trusted IP addresses only. Paste the addresses Ninja Terminal shows you during setup.
  3. Keep Reading enabled and enable Spot & Margin Trading, Futures, or both, depending on the markets you use.
  4. Leave withdrawal permissions off. Ninja Terminal never needs them.
  5. Paste the key and secret into Ninja Terminal and run the connection test.

Binance can keep trading permissions unavailable until trusted IPs are saved, and Futures must be activated on your Binance account before you create the key. The full walkthrough is in How to create a Binance API key. For the security basics, see the API key security checklist. Keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stay on your device; see accounts and key security.

What should Binance traders know?

Hedge mode and position side. In hedge mode, Binance requires every futures order to carry a position side (LONG or SHORT), and a reduce-only flag is not allowed on those orders. In one-way mode the position side is omitted. If an order uses the wrong shape, Binance rejects it with error -4061. Ninja Terminal reads your account’s current mode, rechecks it in the background, and builds orders to match. Because the terminal does not change the mode, switch it on Binance and the terminal follows. Hedge mode vs one-way mode explains the trade-offs, and the hedge mode glossary entry defines the term.

Positions are keyed by side. In hedge mode, a long and a short on the same symbol are two separate positions in the list, each with its own entry price and PnL.

Per-symbol settings. Binance stores leverage and margin type per symbol. Changing them in Ninja Terminal changes them on your Binance account.

Using Binance alongside other venues

Every connected account feeds one positions list and one order list, so a Binance long and an OKX short are visible together. In Quick Entry, a command such as btc l 100k perp can be routed by smart routing, which picks the best account or splits the size across several, with checks for flips, margin ratio, equity reserve, and liquidation distance. You can run several Binance accounts, such as a main and a second account, each with its own nickname. Compare the other venues on the OKX, Bybit, and Hyperliquid pages.

Ninja Terminal is not an exchange, custodian, or broker. Nothing here is investment advice.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ninja Terminal support Binance COIN-M futures?

Not currently. Ninja Terminal trades Binance Spot and USD-M (USDT-margined) futures. COIN-M futures are not supported yet, so a COIN-M position opened on Binance does not appear in the terminal.

Does Ninja Terminal work with Binance hedge mode?

Yes. Ninja Terminal reads whether your Binance futures account is in hedge mode or one-way mode and shapes each order to match, including the long or short position side. It does not switch the mode for you. You change the mode in Binance.

Which Binance API permissions does Ninja Terminal need?

Reading plus trading for the markets you use: Spot & Margin Trading for spot, Futures for USD-M. Leave withdrawals off. Restrict the key to trusted IP addresses, which the terminal shows you during setup.

Is my Binance API key stored on Ninja Terminal servers?

No. The key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored on your own device in the browser. Orders go to Binance under your own account.
