Finding markets
Market Search: Find Any Crypto Market With Cmd+F
Updated Ninja Terminal team
Short answer
Market search in Ninja Terminal opens with Cmd+F or Ctrl+F from anywhere. It searches the markets of your connected exchanges in one list, with tabs for Favorites, Perps, Spot, Crypto, TradFi, HIP-3, Trending, and Pre-launch, plus theme chips like AI, Meme, and RWA. Each row shows last price, 24-hour change, and volume.
The market list on a single exchange can run to hundreds of symbols. Across four exchanges, it is thousands. Market search is built so that you never scroll through it. You press one shortcut, type a few letters, and jump.
How does market search work?
Press Cmd+F (Mac) or Ctrl+F (Windows and Linux) on any screen. A centered overlay opens with the input focused. Type, move with the arrow keys, press Enter to open the highlighted market, and press Esc to close. Choosing a market switches the chart, the order form, and the rest of the workspace to it, on the exchange you picked. Markets you open are added to a Recent list.
The search covers the exchanges of your enabled accounts. If you have no account connected yet, it falls back to Binance’s public markets. Delisted or inactive pairs never appear.
What does a search match?
The query matches against the coin name and the full symbol, and it also matches the name of a HIP-3 dex, so typing a dex name lists its markets. Results are ranked:
- Exact matches on the coin or symbol first.
- Prefix matches next.
- Other partial matches after that.
Favorites get a small boost, so markets you starred rank above equal matches. Results are capped at 150 rows to keep the list fast. Each row shows the symbol, last price, 24-hour change, and 24-hour volume.
What do the tabs show?
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Favorites | Markets you starred |
| All | Every active market on your exchanges |
| Perps | Perpetual futures |
| Spot | Spot markets |
| Crypto | Markets classified as crypto assets |
| TradFi | Traditional-finance markets, such as stocks, indexes, and commodities, where your exchanges list them |
| HIP-3 | Hyperliquid builder-deployed markets, grouped by the dex that deployed them |
| Trending | Markets sorted by trading volume |
| Pre-launch | Pre-launch markets, a subset of TradFi |
Below the tabs, theme chips filter the list by category: Top, New, AI, Solana, RWA, and Meme, with a More control that adds DeFi, Layer 1, and Layer 2. You can combine chips with tabs and with a search term.
When the query is empty on the All tab, the overlay shows a short Popular section and your Recent markets first.
Why do HIP-3 and TradFi have their own tabs?
Hyperliquid lets outside teams deploy their own perpetual markets under HIP-3. Some of those markets track equities, indexes, commodities, or pre-launch assets. In the app, a HIP-3 market is a Hyperliquid perpetual whose base carries the dex prefix, for example a stock ticker deployed by a named dex. The HIP-3 tab groups them by dex, and the TradFi tab collects the ones that are not crypto. See the HIP-3 glossary entry and the Hyperliquid page.
Availability depends on what your connected exchanges list. Ninja Terminal does not create these markets.
How does it relate to Quick Entry?
They solve different problems. Market search is for browsing and switching. Quick Entry is for placing an order from text. Both match symbols from your connected exchanges, and both are keyboard first. Cmd+K focuses Quick Entry, and Cmd+F opens market search.
Starred markets also appear in the favorites bar at the top of the default workspace layouts, so the markets you trade most are one click away.
Listing a market here is not a recommendation to trade it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I open market search?
Press Cmd+F on Mac or Ctrl+F on Windows and Linux. The search overlay opens over the current screen and the input is focused, so you can start typing at once.
Which tabs does market search have?
The tabs are Favorites, All, Perps, Spot, Crypto, TradFi, HIP-3, Trending, and Pre-launch. Theme chips such as Top, New, AI, Solana, RWA, and Meme narrow the list further.

It includes TradFi markets that exist on your connected exchanges, mainly Hyperliquid HIP-3 builder markets. The TradFi tab lists them, and the Pre-launch tab lists pre-IPO style markets.

Market search browses and switches the active market. Quick Entry places an order by typing a symbol and a dollar amount. Cmd+F opens search and Cmd+K focuses Quick Entry.
